By car

From northward and southward direction (A5/A6 junction MA-Mitte on the map): Please leave the motorway at junction Mannheim-Mitte and take the road B 37. Follow the road for about 2.5 km, through Wilhelm-Varnholt-Allee and go past Augustaanlage. Please turn left at Wasserturm in direction of main station and Ludwigshafen. Turn right at the crossroads in front of the main station and take the right lane. Go straight ahead on Bismarckstraße, drive past the castle and stay on the right lane. Once you drive past the bridge, take the left lane to pass and make a U-turn under the bridge. Stay on Bismarckstraße once again and at your right you will find the parking garage “Universität”.

From westward direction, on the left bank of the river Rhine (A 61/A65 interchange "Kreuz-LU" on the map): please drive straight ahead in direction Ludwigshafen/Mannheim. Take the left lane off the bridge (straight ahead) and turn left after the crossroads with the traffic lights. On the right side you can park in the parking garage “Parkhaus Universität”.

By train

Excellent train connection to Mannheim by ICE/IC/ or regional trains. For train connections, please contact: Reiseauskunft der Deutschen Bahn. 

• From the main station you can reach the university building Schloss Schneckenhof Ost (SO) within 10 minutes by tram. The tram stops are just in front of the main entrance of the main station.
• You can take the tram line 1 in direction “Schönau” or the tram line 5 in direction “Edingen / Heidelberg”. Please get off at the "University" stop. Facing the castle please turn right and walk along the castle approx. 200 meters until you are in front of the main entrance of the university building.
